NBC News. Shortly after being hired by
NBC I was assigned to the White House throughout the Ford administration and covered his '76 campaign... the first to be documented with video tape. After being transferred and working out of the network's New England bureau for 10 years I left the network in 1987 to begin a freelance career in the hopes of broadening my range of experience. Although I enjoyed great success as a nationally recognized
DP, I sometimes struggled with the responsibility of bringing to life the concepts and visions of others. I was hired for my unique style, incisive use of natural and artificial light, a high level of problem solving skills, and for doing excellent work... expeditiously. I bring to digital still photography the same unique creative drive, a deep personal aesthetic, and the technical expertise to draw out the hidden beauty that few see in a two dimensional art form.
My credentials are a body of documentary, commercial, and entertainment programming that has been cited with two National
EMMY Awards,
The Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award For Coverage of the Disadvantaged, numerous
NPPA 2nd, 3rd, and
Honorable Mentions,
The White House News Photographers Association and many others. However, the body of over 55,000 still images in my archival system are the seeds of a new field of artistic expression.
